Miss Etta F. Lichty, 69, died at 1:15 p. m, Wednesday in her home at 909 Randolph street. She had been ill three weeks, and Tuesday morning had been stricken by cerebral hemorrhage, which caused her death.

A daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joslah Lichty, early settlers, she was born May 2. 1869, in Orange township. She later moved to Waterloo with her parents, who preceded her in death.

She was active in the First Brethren church, in which she had been a deaconess for many years.

Surviving are three sisters. Miss May C. Lichty, and Mrs. Genevieve Kline of 909 Randolph street, and Mrs. Oscar Cook, residing on a farm north of Waterloo, and three brothers, William and James, at Tracy, Minn., and Frank Lichty, in California. A brother, Albert, died in Waterloo in 1937 [sic], and another, Herbert, in 1936.

The body was taken to the Petersen Bros. funeral home.
