Mrs. Samuel P. Hoover

Funeral services for Mrs. Samuel P. Hoover, 77, of Racine, Minn., formerly of Waterloo, will be Saturday at 2:30 p.m., at the First Brethren Church. Burial will be at Orange cemetery.

Mrs. Hoover died Thursday at 6:20 a. m. at her farm home at Racine, following a lingering illness of several years.

Della Miller was born in Orange township on Dec. 29, 1876, the daughter of Eliza and Abraham Miller.

A lifelong member of the First Brethren Church, she served as organist there for a number of years. She was educated in the county and Waterloo schools and attended Iowa State Teachers College at Cedar Falls and Gates College.

On Jan. 19, 1898, she was married to Samuel P. Hoover in Orange township. They farmed near Waterloo until 1932, when they moved to their farm at Racine.

Surviving are her husband; one son, Ralph M. Hoover, 2925 W. 4th St. and one grandson. A daughter, Marian, died in infancy.
