One of Waterloo's oldest settlers,Mrs. Mary Ann Trible died this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs.Mrs.W. A. Deeter, on their farm six miles northeast of the city, where she has been for the past two weeks. Mrs.Trible has been a resident of Waterloo since 1877, coming here when,there was but one store in the city, and with her husband, lived in their home, which stood at the east end of the fifth street bridge Mary Ann Saha was born March 9, 1847, at. Eaton, 0., her father, Jacob Saha, coming to this country from Germany. She was married to David Trible July 15, 1866, and moved to Wapello, Iowa, afterwards coming to Waterloo in 1877, where they have spent the balance of their lives.
David Trible died Nov. 16, 1892,and his wife continued to live in her own home until last March, when she went to live at the home of her daughter, Mrs. G.S. Frantz in Cedar Heights. She was taken to the Deeter home Aug. 17, at her own request and passed away there this morning. She is suryived by the following by the following children: Mrs; W. A Deeter, Waterloo; Elmer TrIble, Raymond; Mrs.O. Demmel, Jr., Waterloo; Mrs. W. W.Weinbarger, Waterloo; Arthur Trible, Wilburdine, Pa., and Mrs. G. S. Frantz of this city. Three children have preceded their mother to the great beyond, Otis Trible in 1888, Emanuel Trib1e in
1900, and Mrs. D. J. Manning in 1911.
The body was brought to the Petersen Brothers undertaking parlors for is preparation for burial and will be taken to the home of her daughter Mrs. W.W,Wienbarger 437 Conger street, today. The funeral services will be held in the Walnut Street Baptist church at 2 clock Saturday afternoon. Mrs. Trible was a true christian woman enjoyed a host of friends in Black, County all whom join in etending their heartfelt sympathy to the sorrowing family.
