Mary Morse, Cedar Falls

Mary Juanita Morse, 75, died Sept. 24, 2005, at Sartori Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls.

Memorial services were held Tuesday, Sept. 27, at the First United Methodist Church in Cedar Falls with the Rev. Steve Hansen officiating. Burial of the cremains was at Pleasant View Cemetery, Webster Township, Madison County.

Mary Morse was born Sept. 27, 1929, in Winterset to Joseph W. and Alma Jean (Crawford) Busch. On Oct. 5, 1947, she was united in marriage to William Morse Jr. in LaVerne. Mary was employed in the food service department at the University of Northern Iowa for 26 years, retiring in 1992. She then worked with her husband as an unlicensed real estate sales assistant for Century 21 Golden Cities. She was active with Mended Hearts, Cedar Falls Chapter 78 O.E.S., Cedar Falls Eagles, and the Red Hat Ladies.

She was preceded in death by one son, Clifton Paul Morse; a brother, Michael Busch; and a sister, Viola Mae Busch.

She is survived by her husband, Bill, of Cedar Falls; one son, William C. Morse III of Waterloo; one daughter, Christine Ann Allenbrand of Corona, Calif.; two brothers, Joseph Wayne Busch of Granger and Gerald Busch of Lohrville; a sister, Doris Busch Tipton of Rippey; and three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Memorial contibutions may be directed to the Shriner's Children's Hospital.

Arrangements were handled by Richardson funeral Home in Cedar Falls.
