Andrew Jackson O'Connor

Andrew Jackson O'Connor, 69, died of carcinoma at 9 a.m., Monday at his home, 229 Newell St.

He was born Aug. 20, 1883, at New York City, and moved with his family to Rockwell in 1889. In 1903, he moved to Waterloo. On Nov. 10, 1908, he married Mattie Monigold.

An employee of the Chamberlain Corp. for 15 years, he retired 5 years ago. He was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church and the Holy Name Society.

Surviving are his wife, three sons and two daughters, Raymond L. 2743 East Fourth St., Maynard E. of Denver, Colo, and Robert of La Porte City, Mrs. William Hosper, 2180 Ansborough Ave., and Mrs. Glenn Linde, 725 Hope Ave., also three sisters and two brothers, Mrs. U.W. Weeks of Hampton, Leonard L. of Green Bay, Wis., and George, Bernadette, and Mrs. L. C. Plunkett all of Mason City.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

The body is at O'Keefe & Town Funeral Home, where funeral arrangements are pending.

Funeral services for Andrew Jackson O'Connor, 69, who died Monday at 9 a.m. at his home at 229 Newell St., of carcinoma, will be Thursday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Marys Catholic Church. The Rev. Raphel Grahl, pastor will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Members of the Holy Name Society will recite the rosary Wednesday at 8:15 p.m. at O'Keefe & Towne Funeral Home.
