DEATH RELIEVES LONG SUFFERING.
Theodore Igou Passes Away Last Thursday Afternoon.
On Thursday afternoon of last week in this city occurred the death of Theodore Igou, who had been a sufferer with cancer for over five years. The cancer with which the deceased was afflicted first appeared on his lower lip about five years ago. It gradually grew larger, and for the past two years the afflicted man had been a great sufferer, and for the past year had not been able to leave his home, where he was cared for and where all that could be done to relieve his suffering has been done.
The deceased was a native of Pennsylvania, where he was born February 15, 1846. He came to this locality with his parents when a small child and most of his life had been spent here. He is survived by three brothers and one sister, Joseph, Francis and Albert Igou, of this city, Mrs. Jennie Kruger, of Milwaukee, Oregon. He is also survived by two sons, and two daughters.
Short funeral services were held from his late home last Friday morning conducted by Rev. E. S. Genung, after which the remains were taken to Waterloo for interment in Fairview cemetery, beside the remains of his wife who preceeded him in death.
