Nell Marie Hartlein, 92, died Sunday, November 21, 2010 at Bishop Drumm Care Center.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at St. Theresa Catholic Church with burial at Glendale Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday at Iles Funeral Homes-Westover Chapel, where at Vigil service will be held at 7 p.m.

Nell was born in Watkins, Iowa and lived most of her life in the Des Moines area. She was a teacher in Watkins, Iowa and at Holy Trinity School in Des Moines. Nell had been a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, Catholic Women's League, Bishop Drumm Guild, Catholic Daughters, Serra Club and the Dowling Club.

She enjoyed flowers, especially her roses. "She was a good woman."

She will be missed by her husband of 60 years, Ed; daughter, Gloria Miner and grandson, Ross Miner both of Boston, MA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Gertrude Harrington; sister, Inez Snelson and brother, Richard Harrington.
