I would suggest that you first stop at the Audubon Public Library. They have much of the old Audubon newspaper on microfilm but be forewarned that they charge $1.00 per printed page. They also have some bound copies of the Audubon newspaper but the older ones they don't allow anyone to use as they are brittle. The newspaper is currently called the Audubon County Advocate Journal and they do have a web site: http://www.auduboncountynews.com/ The library does have a number of history books and a list of Audubon County deaths. The courthouse will have the marriage, birth and death records of course.
