OBITUARY

AUGUST HENRY REIMERS

August Henry Reimers, son of Claus and Margret Reimers, was born August 7, 1863, at Holstein, Germany, and passed way March 24, 1934, at his home in Adair at the age of 70 years, 7 months and 17 days.

He came to this country with his parents at the age of 9 years, to Moline, Ill. In 1882 he came to Audubon county, where he resided until 1920, when he moved to Adair.

In 1891 he was united in marriage to Christina Vokt. To this union was born one daughter, Mrs. Mary Wedemeyer.

He leaves to mourn his departure, his widow and daughter and two grandchildren, Eileen and Leland Wedemeyer; four brothers, John of Moline, Ill., William of Mount Hope, Kan., Amos of Adair and Herman of Menlo, Iowa, and other relatives and friends.

At the time of his death he was trustee of Immanuel Lutheran church, which office he had held for many years.

Funeral services, which were largely attended by relatives and many life-long friends, were held at Immanuel Lutheran church Monday afternoon conducted by the pastor, Rev. Theo. Hoemann. Interment was in Immanuel Lutheran cemetery.
