Thursday, May 03, 1900, pg. 3Saturday another soul departed
from its temple of clay, and Mrs.
Elizabeth Frankenberger died at
at the home of her son-in-law,
Mr. Chris Bauer, Senior, up in
Greeley township. Mrs. Frankenberger
has been sick for a long
time, of a tumor, and for a week she
could scarcely get food to remain
her stomach. Four score years
had touched her locks, to silver
them with its relentless coloring.
Years ago she came from her fatherland
in Germany, to live in the
sunshine of freedom and the smiles
of her children; dwelling among
her relatives, but mostly at the
Chris Bauer, Senior home until
time of death. Loving hands have
helped her in her old age to receive
in return the smiling thinks of one
who had learned in the school of
experience the strength of a kind
deed or a hopeful smile. To her the
gliding, changing clouds of life had
become so familiar that to touch the
hereafter was to link destiny with
the future in the bark of faith, tread
the light air of faith beyond. She
was buried, Monday, in the Lutheran
Cemetery, the funeral services
being conducted by Rev. CloeterWe the undersigned, relatives of
the deceased, wish to thank those
friends for the acts of kindness
done and words of sympathy spoken
during the last sickness of our
beloved mother and grandmother.
