Death

--------

Charley Kleuver after years of
feeble health, passed quickly and
quitely to rest, Wednesday before
any one was scarcely aware of the
approaching danger, at the home
of his parents, east of town. Charley
has never been as strong as
most boys and did not possess that
hearty rugged constitution, so that
he could indulge in all boyish
pleasures and passtimes. He has
been suffering lately of the grippe
but though his condition was not
alarming heart failure was the
cause of his sudden and immediate
passing away. Owing to the frail
constitution he has been tenderly
cared for, and his parents and rel-
atives and friends have made him
their favorite. He was no charge to
any one and his disposition was
such that it drew his relatives close
to him and shared the sympathy of
a sacrificing spirit with those whom
he came in contact with. He had
just gained his majority, being
twenty one years old the 27th of
last November.

Tomorrow, Friday, at 2 o'clock his
relatives and friends will meet at
home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Carl Kleuver to pay the last token
of respect and tribute to his memory.
Rev. H. L. Wissler will conduct
the last sad rites after which
the relatives and friends will follow
the remains to the Exira cemerty,
where his body free from the
smmortal spirit, that has returned
to its Maker, will be laid to rest.
Thus the fond hopes of a father
and mother are shattered and the
longings of his brothers and sisters
are swept away with tears of sorrow
but the all wise Creator comes to,
comfort their sorrows and to direct
them to their future home, where
all will meet in one united band.

Exira News

V. B. Hellyer, while at the cemetery,
during the funeral of Chas.
Kleuver, had quite a serious accident.
His horse in some manner
broke loose, and ran through several
barb-wire fences, quite severily
lacerating itself.

Note: Parents of Charles F. Klever, Jr. were Carl Fred "Charles" Klever and Ernestine Bartelt.
