Mrs. P. C. Knudsen, Chas. Knudsen
and Mrs. Albert Wilson went to Nev-
ada Sunday to see P. C. Knudsen,
who is in a sanitorium there. Mr.
Knudsen underwent an operation Wed-
nesday and is getting along nicely at
last reports.

P. C. Knudsen has gone to Nevada,
where he will take treatments at a
sanitarium for his failing health. His
friends hope that he may find the
treatments beneficial and soon be
able to return home.

Pneumonia Is Fatal To Oak
Hill Farmer; Funeral
Held Wednesday

Peter Christensen Knudsen, 69
years old, native of Denmark and
a well known farmer, died Sunday
evening at his farm home, a half
mile north of the Oak Hill Danish
Lutheran church. He had lived in
the Oak Hill community sixty-
one years.

Mr. Knudsen had been in poor
health for the past thirteen years
and had been in a critical condi-
tion since being stricken with
pneumonia four days ago.

He was born in Denmark on
June 28, 1867, being a son of the
late Knude and Carolina (Phillipson) Knudsen.
In 1875 he came with his parents
to the United States from Den-
mark and settled in Atlantic. A
year later the family located on a
farm in the Oak Hill community
and had since made their home
there.

Mr. Knudsen had been a mem-
ber of the Oak Hill Lutheran
church s(i)nce moving to that com-
munity. Mr. Knudsen was mar-
ried in Atlantic on April 15, 1886,
to Miss Minnie Nelson. They cele-
brated heir golden wedding anni-
versary last April.

Survivors include his wife, seven
children, Mrs. Chris Jensen of
Omaha, Henry and Theodore
Knudsen of Exira, Christy Knudsen
of Atlantic, Mrs. Elmer Krauel of
Audubon and Arthur Knudsen at
home; seventeen grandchildren,
two great grandchildren and one
sister, Mrs. Hans Nymand of Bray-
ton. Funeral services were held at
1:30 p. m. Wednesday at the Oak
Hill church, the Rev. Henrik Plam-
beck officiating. Interment was
in the Oak Hill cemetery.

bedside of their father, whose
death occurred Sunday afternoon.
