His Home Here

Funeral Services Held Sun-
day Afternoon At The
Exira Christian Church

John Frederick Michael, well
known resident of Exira, died
Friday at his home here follow-
ing a long illness. His age was
70 years, one month and seven
days.

Mr. Michael was born March 31,
1867 near Port Andrew, Richmonnd
county, Wisconsin, and spent his
childhood there. He was united in
marriage to Bertha Everett on
December 10, 1901, and to this
union four daughters and one son
were born. Two daughters, Mabel
and Floy, died May 18, 1915. His
wife preceded him in death on
March 5, 1912. On June 9, 1918,
he was united in marriage to
Georgia Huff.

When a young man he was
united with the United Brethern
church and later became a member
of the Evangelical church at Ross.

He is survived by his widow,
two daughters, Mrs. Joy Larsen of
North Branch and Mrs. Gertrude
Brownsberger of Brayton, and one
son, Truman Michael of Cumber-
land.

Funeral services were held Sun-
day afternoon at the Exira Church
of Christ with the Rev. Charles R.
Hagee in charge. Burial was in
the Exira cemetery.

Note: Parents were Benjamin S. "Ben" Michael and Huldah Ann Welday.
