Victim of Heart
Attack Sunday

Had Been Resident Of
Greeley Township For
Period Of 50 Years

Frank E. Duvall, well known
resident of this community who re-
tired from his farm in Greeley
township only last year after re-
siding there 50 years, died unex-
pectedly at St. Anthony hospital
in Carroll about 8:30 Sunday
morning. He had been in failing
health for some time and had been
taken to the hospital the day be-
fore his death.

Mr. Duvall was born in Wash-
ington county, Iowa on July 5,
1864, a son of the late Jefferson
and Mary Duvall who were
pioneer settlers of Washington
county. He remained at home until
he was 22 years of age, when he
came to Audubon county and pur-
chased 80 acres of land in section
3 of Greeley township. He was
an extensive livestock feeder for
many years and added constantly
to his land holdings.

He was married to Anna Meurer
at Audubon on November 21, 1889.
They were divorced several years
ago. Surviving are four children,
Mildred and Martha Duvall of
Chicago, Mrs. Nellie Wilson of
Sioux City and Clark Duvall of
Guthrie Center. Four children pre-
ceded him in death.

Funeral services are being held
this afternoon at the Methodist
Episcopal church in Audubon with
The Rev. E. M. Buehler in charge.
Burial will be in the Exira
cemetery.
