Mrs. Mildred A. Andrews, well
known Exira woman, died early
Sunday morning as a result of a
heart attack. She became ill about
midnight Saturday night and call-
ed her son, Don, who summoned a
doctor but medical skill was of no
avail and she died about 2:30.

Mrs. Andrews was born near Ex-
ira on November 1, 1865, a daugh-
ter of Richard and Mary Gault,
pioneer settlers of this community.
She grew to womanhood here and
was married to John B. Hash. To
this union two sons were born,
Harry and Don, the former now
living at Peoria, Illinois, and the
latter living at home. She later
married Nathan Andrews, who
died several years ago.

Surviving besides the two sons
are two sisters, Mrs. Carrie
Powell of Tuscon, Arizona, and
Mrs. Alber Bintner of Exira.

Funeral services were held at
the home Wednesday afternoon at
2 o'clock conducted by the Rev. E.
Carnell Wilson. Burial was in the
Exira cemetery.
