Died Tuesday As
Result Of Stroke

County. Funeral Services

Alvin H. Early, well known Ex-
ira man, died Tuesday evening as
the result of a paralytic stroke suf-
fured Sunday afternoon. Mr. Early
had been ill with a slight cold sev-
eral days prior to the time he suf-
fured the stroke.

He was born on a farm south
of Exira on May 5, 1865, the son
of the late Leonard and Hannah (Wall)
Early who came to this county in
1859. When a young man he went
to Nebraska, where he was em-
ployed with a bridge gang, and
from there he went to Montana
and Wyoming where he spent
many years.

His first marriage was to Miss
Emma Warner, who died many
years ago. They were the parents
of five children, a son and daugh-
ter having preceded him in death.
He was married to anna W.
Sweeney at Hardin, Montana, on
November 23, 1914, and later they
moved to Worland, Wyoming,
where they lived until 1928 when
they came to Exira to make their
home.

He is survived by his widow and
three children, Mrs. Myrtle Fair-
ley of Sheiden, Wyoming, Bruce
Early of Shell, Wyoming, and Mrs.
Gertrude Larkin of Billings, Mon-
tana, a sister, Mrs. Mary Tracewell
of Valentine, Nebraska, and nine
grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at
the Corl funeral home at 1:30 Sat-
urday afternoon with the Rev. E.
Carnell Wilson in charge. Burial
will be in the Exira cemetery.
