Prominent Business Man
of Brayton Called Beyond

The death of Nis Larsen occurred
Sunday at his home in Brayton follow-
ing an illness of several weeks. Mr.
Larsen had been quite poorly for the
past two or three years but had man-
aged to be about until only a short
time back. He had been a resident of
Brayton for the past 25 years having
conducted a grocery and meat business
there.

Mr. Larsen was born in Denmark
in 1860 and came to the United States
over 50 years ago. At one time he
was engaged in the newspaper busi-
ness in this country.

Surviving are his widow and four
children. The children are Mrs. Elmer
Green of Exira, Mrs. Will Koob and
Miss Nora Larsen of Brayton and
James Larsen of Audubon. Two chil-
dren preceded their father in death.

Funeral services were held Tuesday
afternoon at 2:30 at the home and at
the Danish Lutheran church at Elk
Horn at 3:15 with the Rev. Ludvig
Mehr in charge assisted by Rev. C. M.
Videbeck. Burial was in the ceme-
tery at Elk Horn.
