Funeral Bert Radcliff
Held Sunday Afternoon--------
Funeral services for Bert Rad-
cliff were held Sunday afternoon
at the Exira Christian church with
the Rev. Charles R. Hagee in
charge. Burial was in the Exira
cemetery.Mr. Radcliff died March 26 at
Clarinda following an illness of
several years. He was born on the
Radcliff homestead 7 miles south-
east of Exira on May 26, 1885,
the youngest son of William and
Melinda Radcliff. He is survived
by five brothers and two sisters,
as follows: William H. of St. Pat-
rick, Missouri; Edward, Allen and
George of Exira and Charley of
Lincoln, Nebraska; Mrs. Charley
Phippen of Exira and Mrs. Jane
Morland of Des Moines.Note: Parents were William Radcliff and Malinda Christiana Hamlin. Bert's grandfather was Nathaniel Hamlin, Audubon county's first settler.
