LOCAL ITEMS

Mrs. Al Fredericks (Nellie Mae Knox) attended the
funeral of her seventeen year old
niece, Mrs. Helen R. Goodyear, wife
of Paul Goodyear of Guthrie Center,
on Tuesday. Mrs. Goodyear passed
away at her home Sunday after a
short illness with pneumonia. She
leaves a little daughter two weeks old.
The deceased was a daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Sherman Knox, well known
to a great many of the Exira people.

Helen's parents were Sherman William "Sherm" Knox and Luina "Ina" Holmes. Helen's grandfather was Xerxes Knox, Civil War soldier from Exira.
