David Christensen Died
At Oakdale Tuesday

David Christensen of near Ham-
lin died Tuesday morning at the
Oakdale sanitarium near Iowa City,
where he had been a patient for
several weeks, his death being due
to tuberculosis. Mrs. Christensen
was there at the time and accom-
panied the body to Hamlin.

Funeral services will be held this
afternoon at the Danish Lutheran
church in Hamlin conducted by the
Rev. Frits Andersen. Burial will
be in the Hamlin cemetery.

David H. Christensen

David Hedeman Christensen was
born in Audubon county, Iowa,
June 16, 1892, and died at Oakdale
sanitaruim April 14, 1931, aged 38
years, 9 months and 29 days. He
spent his entire life as a resident
of Hamlin township.

He was united in marriage to
Ethel Mullenger on August 2, 1916.
To this union eight children were
born, six sons and two daughters as
follows: Daniel, Grant, Luther, El-
bert, Chester, Frank Lee and
Mary and Norma.

Besides his widow and children
he leaves to mourn his passing his
aged mother, Mrs. Christena Chris-
tensen, a sister, Mrs. Soren Peter-
sen and four brothers, Frank and
C. V. Christensen of this county
and Willie and Pete Christensen of
Guthrie county.

Mr. Christensen was a member
of the Danish Evangelical Luther-
an church of Hamlin and it was
there that funeral services were
held Thursday afternoon, April 16,
with the Rev. Frits Andersen in
charge. Burial was in the Hamlin
cemetery.
