Elmer Fowler
dies MondayElmer Elsworth Fowler, 92,
died Monday morning at the
Friendship home in Audubon.He was born Dec. 13, 1869 in
Marietta, Ohio. At the age of
two, he moved with his parents
William Henry and Amelia
Decker Fowler to Exira and
was married to Lena Masching (1877-1950)
April 5, 1896. They farmed
south of here (Exira) until retiring in
1946 and moving to Brayton
where he lived until going to
the Friendship home in 1959.He is survived by a son,
Wayne W. (1896-1969) of Brayton; two
grandchildren, James of Om-
aha and Mrs. Nicholas Bintner (Gertrude Virginia Fowler 1928-2008)
of Brayton, and eight great
grandchildren. He was preced-
ed in death by his wife in Oc-
tober, 1950, four sisters and
two brothers.
