FORMER EXIRA RESIDENT
DIES IN DENMARK

Tullebulle, Langeland, Denmark.

Hans P. Ha(Je)nsen died September
19th, 1925, at the age of 73 years, he
left Exira the 8th day of May for the
place in Denmark where he died.

Mr. Jensen left this same place in
the year 1881 with his wife and two
small sons and sailed for America,
the land of promise.

Both the sons have passed to the
great beyond as well as his beloved
wife, the first son died while quite
small and the other son, Robert (1883-1921), died
a few years ago at Atlantic, Iowa,
the mother (Anna Kathrina Jensen (1853-1919)) died the 4th day of Feb-
ruary, 1919, at their home in Exira,
having lived here twelve years be-
fore her death. Prior to that time
they resided six miles south of Exira.

In the year 1921 Mr. Jensen left
for Denmark where he lived with his
nearest relatives until death, which
came so sudden and unexpected, the
family were sitting in a room talking
when Mr. Jensen collapsed with
heart failure.

It is by request of Mr. Jensen's
relatives that we are putting this ac-
count in the Danish Pioneer and The
Audubon County Journal.

The news of Mr. Jensen's death
came to this community as a great
shock, especially to those who knew
him, as he has hosts of friends in
this town and in the communities in
which they lived.
