AUDUBON RESIDENT
DIES SUDDENLY

---------

Mr. T. C. Kester, aged 68 years,
died very suddenly Monday evening
at the home of his son, Raymond Kes-
ter, about seven miles north of Audu-
bon. He went to the son's home in
the morning to assist with the ga-
thering of the corn crop. After sup-
per he went out about the yard and
upon returning to the house, he be-
gan warming his hands by the stove,
when he suddenly expired, presum-
ably from heart failure. The body
was brought to his home in this city
and the people of Audubon were
shocked when the news of his death
was circulated about the city. Mr.
Kester was a rugged and healthy
looking man.

Surviving are his wife and nine
children, five boys and four girls as
follows: Walter, Chicago; Frank,
Kansas City, Mo.; Bruce, Colorado;
Harry, California; Raymond, Audu-
bon; and Alice (Moorhead), Pearl, and Mildred
all married and residing in California
and Mrs. Lucy Lacy, Audubon. Mr.
Kester was a highly respected and
well-to-do retired farmer and had
numerous friends who will regret
hearing of his sudden untimely death.

Funeral services were held at the
Methodist church in Audubon this af-
ternoon with Rev. Guy Fansher in
charge. Burial was in the Arlington
Heights cemetery.

Bruce of Colorado, Frank of Kansas
City and Walter and wife of Chicago
were in Audubon to attend the fun-
eral of their father. This is the first
death to enter the family circle.
