SON OF AUDUBON MAN
KILLED IN WRECK

Fedder Kallesen, of Audubon, re-
ceived a message Tuesday informing
him of the death of his son, John
in a railway wreck at Potomac, Vir-
ginia. No particulars were given in
the message.

John Kallessen was about 23 years
of age. He had been farming with
his father until last March when the
family moved to Audubon. In May
he secured a place with a Mr. King,
who has a large herd of pure bred
dairy cattle and had been taking ex-
hibits to different fairs. He was em-
ployed by his cousin, Hartvig Hart-
vigsen, who is superintendent of Mr.
King's herds, and a cousin of the dp-
ceased lad.

He is survived by the father, five
sisters and one brother, his mother
having passed away two years ago
last February.

The remains are expected in Audu-
bon Friday and funeral services will
be held Saturday or Sunday. Burial
will be in Bethany cemetery.

Note:
Other spellings of the surname in the 1920 Audubon Co. census is Kallisen and Kallesen. A brother Emmert's name in the SSDI records is spelled Kallesen.
