DIES AS RESULT OF
FALL FROM HAY MOW

Thomas Jessen, 64, well known man
and long time resident of the Elk
Horn vicinity, was fatally injured in
a fall from the hay mow of a barn on
his place last Thursday afternoon.

Mr. Jessen was alone at the time of
the accident and persons passing the
place heard his groans and went to
his assistance. His neck was broken
in the fall and he gradually grew
weaker until the end, which came
yesterday evening about nine o'clock.

The deceased man was a native of
Denmark and came to this country
when eighteen years of age, settling
at Elk Horn. He is survived by his
wife and four children. One grand-
child and a sister, Mrs. Nels Olsen,
of California survive. The children
are Mrs. Minnie Peterson of Audu-
bon, Mrs. Hilda Nissen, Knute Jessen
and Richard Jessen of Elk Horn.

Funeral services will be held Sat-
urday with interment in the Elk Horn
cemetery.
