Elk Horn Insurance Man
Died Suddenly on Friday

J. Chris Johnson, Elk Horn insur-
ance man, died suddenly Friday eve-
ning following a heart attack. Fun-
eral services were held Sunday after-
noon at the Elk Horn Lutheran church
with Rev. Vedebeck in charge. Burial
was in Elk Horn cemetery.

He is survived by his mother, his
widow, a son and two brothers and
three sisters.

At one time Mr. Johnson was engag-
ed in the hardware and implement bus-
iness in Hamlin, and for many years
he conducted a hardware store and im-
plement concern at Elk Horn. Dur-
ing the past ten years he had been
engaged in the insurance business.

LOCAL AND PERSONAL

H. M. Mortensen and family were in
Elk Horn to attend the funeral services
of the late J. C. Johnson held Sunday.
Mr. Johnson, well known Elk Horn
insurance man and former merchant
of that town, died suddenly last Thurs-
day evening from a heart attack.

HAMLIN NEWS

On account of the funeral of J. Chris
Johnson at Elk Horn last Sunday, the
Hamlin Lutheran Sunday school picnic
was again postponed to the coming
Sunday. It is to be held at the Theo.
Hansen grove on the Ed Dryden farm.
