MRS. JAMES WILLOX HONORED

January the 30th, 1924, will be long
remembered by the many friends of
Mrs. Willox, all old settlers of Audu-
bon county. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Cris-
man opened their home for the event
and made all feel that it was good to
be there as only these good people
can. All came with well filled baskets
and loaded the long tables with such
cooking as was had in olden times.

Mrs. Willox met each guest with
the same smile she was want to give
us when she was one of us, making
us feel deeply as the day drew to a
close the loss we sustained when the
Willox family left us.

The day was also Mr. Crisman's
birthday making the reunion of double
importance. We stayed for dinner
and supper and when your correspon-
dent left at eight p. m. people were
still coming. Those present were:

Dr. and Mrs. John Riley, Mr. and
Mrs. John I. Hensley, Mr. and Mrs.
John Dimick, Mr. and Mrs. Edgar
Young, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Adair,
Mr. and Mrs. Al Andrews, Mr. and
Mrs. Dwight West, Mrs. Lizzie Hens-
ley and sons, Mrs. Mary Kilworth,
Mrs. Jessie Herrick, Mrs. Lissa Gault,
Mrs. Amanda Wright, Mrs. Alice
Connrardy, Mrs. Anna McAninch,
Mrs. John Hicks, Mrs. Fred Bechtol,
the Mrs. Ella M. Stearns, Anna
Dorr, Lena Bush, Annette Delahoyde,
Cora Cook and Pilmer; Messrs Dave
Clark, Henry Bush, Ed Delahoyde,
Eugene Wilson and Nate Turner.
