CHAS. WAHE CALLED
TO GREAT BEYOND

Charles Wahe passed away at his
home on North street (Exira) early Monday
morning following an illness which of
several years duration.

The deceased was the only son of
Mr. and Mrs. P. J. Wahe. He was
born March 27th, 1850, in Connecticut.
During his young manhood he came
west and resided at different places
over the country, being employed at
railroading the greater part of the
time. While residing in Creston he
was united in marriage to Elizabeth
Coe, on the 29th day of January, 1891.
To this union one son, Paul, was born.

While a resident of Creston the
deceased united with the Congrega-
tional church, but later, when trans-
ferred to St. Charles, changed his
membership to the United Presbyter-
ian church.

While in Nebraska he joined the
Masonic lodge and was advanced to
the Chapter of Knights Templar.

The family came to Exira about
eleven years ago, and have since re-
sided in this community. Mr. Wahe
suffered a general breakdown about
eight years ago and has been in poor
health and a constant sufferer since
that time.

He is survived by the wife, Eliza-
beth Wahe, and one son, Paul.

Funeral services will be conducted
this afternoon at the Federated church
with Rev. Robert N. Chord and the
Masonic lodge in charge. Interment
will be in the Exira cemetery.
