AUDUBON RESIDENT
TAKES OWN LIFE

________
Ill Health Causes Wallace Bol-
ton of Audubon to Commit
Rash Act

________

Wallace H. Bolton, well known resi-
dent of Audubon, despondent, it is
thought, because of ill health, took
his own life by hanging shortly be-
fore noon Monday. The lifeless body
was found hanging in the loft of the
barn at his home by his son, who had
gone to call him for dinner. The body
was suspended by a rope from one of
the rafters. A coroner's jury return-
ed a verdict of suicide.

Mr. Bolton had given no inkling of
his act and was about as usual dur-
ing the morning. About twenty min-
utes before noon he went to the barn
and in less than half an hour after
his lifeless body was found. He had
not been in good health for some time
but was apparently as well as usual
and his rash act was a terrible shock
to the family.

Mr. Bolton had lived in Audubon
county over forty years. He was
about 65 years of age. The wife and
two sons, Ruby at home and W. R.
Bolton, Audubon jeweler survive.

Funeral services were held at the
home Wednesday afternoon. Rev. O. B.
Lee officiating, assisted by Rev. Guy
J. Fansher. Interment was in the
Maple Grove cemetery.
