MRS. HANNAH ZINKE
PASSED AWAY FRIDAY

Mrs. Hannah Zinke passed away
Friday at her home eight miles north-
east of Exira, at the advanced age
of 85 years, 6 months and 7 days.
She has been a resident of the coun-
ty since 1892 and of Iowa since 1873.

The deceased was born in Germany
on November 15, 1839. At an early
age she came to America and made
her home with an uncle in the state
of Illinois. In 1871, she was married
to Fred H. Zinke and came with her
husband to Carroll county two years
later. They made their home there
for 19 years then moved to the farm
in Audubon county which has since
been the home.

Mr. Zinke died about fourteen years
ago and one child also preceded the
mother in death. She is survived by
the following children: Harry, Theo-
dore and Max, all of this vicinity.

Funeral services were held at the
Audubon Evangelical church Monday
afternoon at two o'clock, Rev. J. A.
Deedrich assisted by Rev. Fuller, offi-
ciating. Interment was in Maple Grove
ce(m)etery at Audubon.
