AGED AUDUBON RESIDENT DIES

Mrs. Rachel Morrissey of Audubon,
aged 93 years, died Saturday night
at her home. Death was due to gas-
tritis from which she had suffered for
some time. About a week ago the
deceased lady received a broken hip
in a fall which undoubtedly hastened
her death. The husband and several
children preceded her in death. Three
sons and four daughter survive. They
are: James of Omaha, Jerimiah of
Ames and Steven of Audubon; Bettie,
Mildred and Frances Morrissey at
home, and Mrs. T. J. McCall of near
Audubon.

Funeral services were held Tuesday
morning at 9:30 o'clock from St. Pat-
rick's church in Audubon with Fr.
Costello, pastor, and Fr. Gleason of
Valley Junction, a former pastor, in
charge of the service. Interment was
made in the Atlantic cemetery beside
the remains of the husband. Six
grandsons acted as pall bearers.
