Davis rites are
held Saturday

Funeral services for Darryl
Davis, 21, were held Saturday
afternoon at the Exira Chris-
tian church with the Rev. Les-
ter Pearson officiating. Inter-
ment was in the Exira Ceme-
tery.

Darryl died suddenly at 7:30
p.m. last Wednesday at a hos-
pital in Ames where he had
been a student at Iowa State
University the past three years.

He was born December 27,
1939, the son of Ai and Lois
(Boehme) Davis, on a farm
near Exira where he grew to
young manhood.

While attending the Exira
high school, he was a member
of the FFA and served one year
as the organization's pre-
sident. Prior to that he was ac-
tive in 4-H work. He served as
president of his senior class and
graduated in 1958.

The following year he en-
rolled at Iowa State Univer-
sity, Ames and began a course
in Agronomy.

He is survived by his par-
ents, a sister, Linda Kay at
home and his grandmother,
Mrs. Carrie Boehme of Adair.

2. Ai Davis, born May 08, 1910 in Exira Twp., Audubon County (Exira), Iowa; died April 09, 1988 at home southeast of Exira, Audubon County, Iowa. He was the son of William Daniel "Will" Davis and Blanche Ella Martin. He married 3. Lois Elaine Boehme May 07, 1935 at Exira Christian Church Parsonage, Audubon County, Iowa.
3. Lois Elaine Boehme, born November 28, 1910 at her parent's farm east of Exira, Audubon County, Iowa; died April 13, 2005 in Audubon County Memorial Hospital in Audubon, Iowa. She was the daughter of Clyde Boehme and Carrie Stephenson.
