Frederick Lowell Kline, son of Jay and Annie Kline was born September 25, 1918 in Exira, IA and passed away May 14, 2003 at West View Care Center in Indianola at the age of 84 years.
Lowell spent his early years in Exira, where he received his education. He was united in marriage to Erma Denison and they were the parents of five children. Erma preceded him in death. Later Lowell married Doris in Leon, and a daughter was born to this marriage.
He had been a farmer and truck driver for several years as well as doing construction work. He worked for his son Kenneth for a number of years at K & S Manufacturing in Humeston, IA before retiring 22 years ago.
Lowell moved to the Osceola area, where his family resided, in 1951 and lived there until he moved to Kansas in 1961. In 1967, they moved to Indianola where they had since lived.
He was an avid card player and had been raised in the Lutheran faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents his first wife, Erma son, Merlyn daughter, Cheryl Denning brother, Loyd Kline and two grandchildren, Kary and Kevin Kline.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Doris of Indianola three sons, James Kline and wife Sue of Granger, Richard Kline and wife Kathy of Osceola and Kenneth Kline and wife Sharon of Promise City a daughter, Amy Kline and companion Brian Burgett of Des Moines stepdaughter, Linda Percifield of Keys, OK, stepson, Mike McCarl of Turpin, OK, and stepdaughter, Patty Amerson and husband Dennis of Loveland, CO a brother, Calvin Kline and wife Mildred of Marshall, MN 18 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren as well as other relatives and a host of friends.
Graveside services will be held for Mr. Kline at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 17, 2003 at the Maple Hill Cemetery in Osceola, Iowa. Visitation will be at the Kale Funeral Home in Osceola after noon on Friday with the family present to receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

She was born December 10, 1915 in Exira, Audubon County, Iowa, and died March 21, 1958 in Osceola, Iowa at a hospital. She was the daughter of Andrew Denison and Petrea Jensen. He married (2) Doris Mears December 17, 1958 in Leon, Iowa. She was born November 28, 1927.

2. Jay Delmar Kline, born April 20, 1893 in Guthrie Co., Iowa; died February 23, 1973 in Cass County Memorial Hospital, Atlantic, Iowa. He was the son of 4. Frederick Grant "Fred" Kline and 5. Leona B. Davis. He married 3. Anna Carolina Gebers December 01, 1915 in German Lutheran Church, Guthrie County, Iowa.
3. Anna Carolina Gebers, born April 23, 1895 in Audubon County, Iowa; died May 16, 1974 in Crestwood Nursing Home, Anita, Cass County, Iowa. She was the daughter of 6. Fred W. Gebers and 7. Mary Wedemeyer.
