FRANCIS EDWARDS
PASSED OVER
Francis Edwards, son of Francis
and Margaret (Benbow) Edwards, was born in
Shropshire, England, on July 30
1846, and died at his home in
Audubon township, November 12,
1915, aged 69 years 3 mo and 13
days.
With his mother, brother and
sister, he came to the United States
and settled in Warren County,
Iowa, in 1867. He moved to Audu
bon county in 1875.
He was married in Shropshire,
England, February 29, 1892, to
Annie Morris. To this union was
born five children, two died in in-
fancy. He leaves to mourn, his wife,
one son, two daughters, his broth-
er John, his sister, Mrs. Sarah Lit-
tlefield and her family.
He joined the Methodist church
in 1890 when the Methodist church
had a charge at no. 3 schoolhouse,
after that was abandoned, he at-
tended the Christian church but
for several years he was unable to
take part in religious services.
Though suffering intensely for years
with throat and ear trouble he was
always patient and resigned.
Funeral services were held at the
Christian church, Nov. 14th con-
ducted by Rev. C. S. Linkletter. He
was buried in the Exira cemetery.Card of Thanks
