Erickson rites
held Tuesday
in Atlantic
Funeral services for Charles
Erickson, 79, were held Tuesday
afternoon at 2 o'clock at Zion Lu-
theran church in Atlantic, the
Rev. R. G. Dohrmann officiating
and interment was in the Atlantic
cemetery.
Mr. Erickson died early Satur-
day morning at his home four
miles north of Atlantic. He had
been in failing health several
years.
The son of Mr. and Mrs. And-
rew Erickson, he was born in
Cass county Nov. 20, 1878 and
grew to manhood on a farm in
Audubon county. He had farmed
north of Atlantic since his mar-
riage to Amanda J. Anderson in
Atlantic by the Rev. E. S. Hill
Nov. 18, 1903. Mr. Erickson was
a member of Zion Lutheran
church.
Surviving are his wife, three
sons, Charles A. Erickson of At-
lantic, Arthur A. Erickson, of
Oakland and Faye Erickson, at
home; two daughters, Mrs. Har-
old Beech and Mrs. Opal Wright
of Atlantic; two sisters, Mrs. Ida
Johnson and Mrs. Emma Peter-
sen of Exira; six grandchildren
and four great grandchildren. He
was preceded in death by a son,
Elmer; two brothers Andrew and
Gustova and four sisters, Ellen
and Sophia and two who died in
infancy.
