Taken from Audubon County Advocate dated April 21, 1887:
DIED: At the residence of his mother, Mrs. B. F. Miller, on last Thursday night. Mr. Geo. Miller , aged eighteen years. The disease was of the brain. On Monday, after eating a hearty dinner, the young man was prostrated and became unconscious, in which condition he remained until death came as above stated. The funeral services were held at the house, by Rev. J. B. Harris, on Saturday afternoon. Mrs. Miller has the sympathy of a large circle of friends in her sad bereavement.
