CHARLES WULF DIES
AFTER LONG ILLNESS

After a lingering illness of six
weeks Charles C. Wulf, a resident of
this valley for twenty-one years,
passed away at the family home in
Green valley at 5:30 o'clock Sunday
morning.

Mr. Wulf was born in Denmark in
1843. Coming to America thirty-
eight years ago, he settled in Audu-
bon, Iowa, where he was married to
Sophie Petersen in 1884. After farm-
ing seventeen years there he moved
with his family to California, locating
in the Pajaro valley where he engaged
in farming until the time of his
illness.

In the death of Mr. Wulf, Watson-
ville loses a splendid citizen,--always
ready to help whether a friend of his
or his country. He was a kind and
devoted husband and father and,
besides his family, leaves a large
circle of friends to mourn his death.

Besides his wife he leaves four
daughters and two sons: Mrs. Lee
Tibbals of Fort Scott, Kansas; Mrs.
Chris Sandberg, Dagmar M., Agnes
A., Albert A. and Carl E. Wulf, all
of Watsonville; and three sisters in
Denmark.

The funeral was held at the family
home in Green valley on Tuesday,
Feb. 10th. Interment made in the
I.O.O.F. cemetery.--Watsonville
Register.

Mr. Wulf was a resident of Exira
about twenty-one years ago, residing
west of town.
