Ralph,

There's a biographical sketch of him in the 1913 History of Appanoose County IA The sketch also includes a picture of him. Do you already have a copy of this biographical sketch?

I have a copy of the Appanoose County Cemetery Index which was published by the App. Co. Genealogical Society in 1990. The society walked all county cemeteries and copied all information from the stones and this book is an index telling the person's name, township and cemetery where buried (individual township cemetery books were also published giving information from the individual stones). I found no Salingers listed as being buried in App. Co. (a possibility there was no stone for them or it could have been unreadable).
