Dear kind researchers of Appanoose County,

I am trying to find out something about my relative LEWIS SALINGER who appears in a copy of the Appanoose County History. Unfortunately it is undated but I guess it was pre World War 1

He was President of the Centerville Retail Merchants Association,
He was also a driving force in the Booster Committee of the Centerville Commercial Club - that was responsible for acquiring electric lighting around the main square.

His house was at 412 Drake

He was a Blue Lodge Mason and was active member of the Knights of Pythias
[I wonder what that was ?]

He ran his own dry goods business “Salinger and Goldstein” !

I was wondering if you have any information about him or his daughter Hanora ?
