My father added an extra "l" to my last name just before he entered WWII. My grandfather's name was Elmer Draper Parcel. He was killed in a coal mining accident in Mahaska County in November of 1926. My father's family came from Centerville, IA. I visited with my father and step-mother Sharon Cemetery, just South and East of Centerville last September, 2003. I found 45 names of Parcel relatives that were buried there, one that was a Reverend H.J. Parcel(1885-1961), his wife, Minnie J.(1888-1967), H.R. Parcel(1868-1951), his wife Nellie (died 1913). Also, Henry E. Parcel (1853-1921) his wife, Florence Devore Law (1857-1933)were divorced. But I can not for certain tell what his second wives name was. There was a son born to this marriage, who was named John I. Parcel. In the 1920 Census of IA, Appanoose, Bellair township, listed is a Henry Parcel, who is 64 years old, living in the County Home, who was divorced. Also, there is a "H.R." Parcel on that same census, who lived on 713 East Elm St. in the 1st Precinct, 3rd Ward of Centerville, IA(1 daughter-Zelma, 14 yrs. old, 3 sons-Lloyd, 20 yrs. old, Glen, 12 yrs. old, Chester, 7 yrs. old. H.R. was born in Ohio. I do not know of very many relatives on my dad's side of the family. There is a Richard Manley in Joplin, MO. He is pastor of a church. His first wife passed away. They had two children: Debra and Billy. Sorry I couldn't help you more. Best wishes.
