I am a distant cousin to Earleen, fifth cousin. This family traces back to the pioneer Wright family (See Herb Arkin's massive research) and the Hill family. Earl died in Illinois and was buired in Centerville: Section 10, Row 43 in Oakland Cemetery. I believe that he entered WWI ahead of the United States; his epitaph is "Gaughenbaugh: Earl Mar. 9, 1894 - July 4, 1935 Ia. Pvt. 97 Bn Canadian Army WWI."
