I also found this wedding announcement:

On Saturday evening, Aug. 31, Everett Scarlett, of Centerville, and Ruth Hymes, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. Hymnes of Mystic, were united in marriage at the home of t h e Justice of the Peace A. M. Astroth. The couple will make their home here for
the time being.

And yes, in the article Ruth's last name is spelled differently than her parents. It could be a typo.
