That is the problem that I am running into. It seems as though John, the one I am looking for, didn't exsist until he showed up on the census here living with an Aunt, Mary Wright Orr, in Hamilton County IN. I live here in Tipton County, IN and John Wiley's parents, Joseph A and Sarah Salter Wright are buried here in Hobbs Cementary about 5 miles from my home. I have done a lot of research here in Tipton County and came across a biography of Robert W Wright, a brother to John Wiley, that stated that he had moved to Iowa for a short time to join John Wiley. The John that I am looking for was born around 1858, I will have to find his gravestone here in Hamilton County to verify that. My grandmother told me that her father told her that his grandfather's name was John and so was his father's. I have found John's death annoncement in the Tipton Tribune archvies that states that he was Robert W's nephew. So we are totally confused as to why John was here and his parents in Iowa. I hope that someone can help shed some light on our family mystery.
