In Response To: BIOGRAPHICAL & GENEALOGICAL HISTORY OF APPANOOSE & MONROE CO (Mary EllenLanigan)

My grandfather, James Hunter, received his naturalization from Centerville, Iowa March 6, 1885 according to the Naturalization Indices. Located in Vol. 2 page 246.
Do you have any information on James Hunter being in Centerville, or Appolusa County. James and his wife, Elizabeth lost a baby. about this time. 18987, 1888, or 1889. He was a coal miner from Scotland, by he way of Indiana, and Kansas. He immigrated to America in 1880. Thank you, John Hunter
