I found Horace S. in the 1860 Kansas territorial census living in Allen County, Humboldt PO. He must have gone out there after 1857 and returned to Iowa some time before Harriet died in 1867 (see next entry).

Harriet Phelps 22 b. IN
Mary J. Phelps 7 b. IA
Marinda Phelps 3 b. IA

I also found their shared tombstone in Mercer County, MO, just across the state line from Decatur county, IA

Harriet M. Phelps b. 8/16/1837 d. 8/1/1967
Horace S. Phelps b. 9/19/1812 d. 9/22/1901

I was able to find Harriet living with her parents before she was married to Horace in the Knox County IL 1850 census.

Vinetta Vincent 13 b. IL
Uriah Vincent 4 b. IL

Abram and his wife are still there in the 1856 special IL state census.
