DEATH CLAIMS MARTICIA FENTON
Well Known Resident of Centerville Died Late Saturday
Funeral Arrangements LaterFollowing an illness of the seven weeks Miss Marticia Fenton, a lifelong resident of this city, died at her home add 111 West Maple St. at 11:45 PM Saturday. Her death brings sorrow to a wide circle of friends and relatives which she had gained during her 60 years as a resident of this community.
Miss Fenton, the daughter of Bartholomew and Francis Jane Fenton was born January 14, 1857. She lived in Centerville until her death with the exception of the time which she spends at school in Oxford, Ohio. During her later life here she was active with theP.E.O. Society and the local chapter of the Eastern stars. She was also affiliated with the Presbyterian Church.
Since she was a small girl, Mrs. Fenton had lived at the Fenton home on the corner of Maple and 12th Streets. In death she is survived by one sister, Mrs. J. A. Bradley, of this city and a brother, Willis D. Fenton, also of this city. She is also survived by Burt Fenton, a nephew, also living at the Fenton home.
She had been particularly devoted to the home and family, giving special care to her agent mother against which she made a courageous fight, and at times seems to be winning, but could not finally overcome the disease. Both in the home and the community she met her obligations cheerfully and with a devotion that endeared her to many.
Funeral arrangements have not been completed and will be announced later.
