MRS. H. BILLBERG DIES AT HER HOME HERE EARLY TODAY
Well Known and Long Time Resident Leaves Many Friends and Relatives to Mourn Death
Mrs. Henning Billberg, and well-known residents of this city 1211 Drake Ave., died At her home at 7:44 AM today following failing health over a period of eight years and serious illness during the past three years.
The death brings sorrow wide circle of friends and relatives.
Josephine Bothlida Larson was born in Ottumwa and grew too young womanhood there. On April 15, 1903 she united in marriage with Henning Billberg at Ottumwa. The couple made their home there for a short time and then came to Centerville where they have made their home since, with the exception of a few years in Exline.
Four children were born to their union, one of whom Catherine Louise, preceded her mother in death. The surviving children are: Mrs. O. A. Jungman, of Scotland, South Dakota, Lorene Billberg, at home, and Hilding, of East Moline. In addition to the children and husband there are two surviving sisters, who are: Mrs. P. A. Polson of Los Angeles, and Lorena Larson, of Ottumwa.
Funeral services will be held at the first Lutheran Church where Mrs. Billberg worshiped for many years at 2:30 PM Saturday following short services at the home at 2:00 p.m..Reverend Nelson, from Augustana, will have charge of the service and burial will be in Oakland cemetery.
