Grammar School Graduate Victim of Appendicitis
Following an operation appendicitis at St. Joseph's Hospital Tuesday night last week, of 905 S. 20th St., developed peritonitis which resulted in her death at 6:25 p.m. yesterday.
Katherine was taken violently ill and week ago Monday. Her sudden and untimely death brings sorrow to a wide circle of friends and relatives. She had attended the Centerville school, graduating from the grammar school this spring. She was well liked and popular and she will be sadly missed by those who knew her.
She is survived by her mother and father and by two sisters, Marguerite and Lorena of Des Moines, besides a brother Hilding at home. Funeral services are to be held at 2:00 p.m. at the home, 905 S. 20th St., and at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Swedish Lutheran Church with the Rev. W. A. Bloom officiating. Burial will be in Oakland cemetery.
