Former Centerville Woman Dies In Missouri
Mrs. Betty Krans, of Hannibal, Missouri, passed away at 10:25 AM August 26. She had been in poor health for about three years and seriously ill for three days. She was a former resident of Centerville.
She was the widow of Karl Peter Krants who passed away August 19, 1939. Mrs. Krantz was born in Sweden, December 11, 1853.
Surviving are one son, Helgie Krans, and three daughters, Mrs. Lillian Garrett, Miss Sigrid and Miss Erna Krans and one grandson, William Harold Garrett, all of Hannibal and one brother, Peter Strandberg of Centerville, Iowa. One son preceded her in death about four years ago.
Mrs. Krans was a member of the Lutheran Church.
Funeral services were held from Smiths Chapel, at 2:00 p.m. With reference W. J. Schwehn in charge. Interment was in Mount Olivet cemetery. Peter Strandberg and son, Hubert attended the services.
