Foreman at Soy Bean Plant Dies
C. M. E. Strandberg, Night Watchman,
Evidently Victim of Heart Attack Early Today

Centerville
Carl Marvin Eugene Peter Strandberg, 38, of Centerville, an employe of the Centerville soy bean mill, was found dead in the washroom of the plant about 6:30 a.m. today by Schuyler Ray of Centerville.
Mr. Ray had gone to the plant with a truckload of beans. Mr. Strandberg was last seen alive by a Burlington railroad switchman about 5:30 a.m. today and he was loading a tank of oil at that time.
Mr. Strandberg was apparently as well as usual when he came to work at 7:00 p.m. Friday. He was a shift foreman at the plant and had been serving as night watchman Friday night from 7:00 pm. to 6:00 a.m.
It was supposed he had gone into the washroom to clean up before leaving his work and had suffered a heart attack.
He had been employed at the mill for about six years. He was unmarried. He was born in Centerville October 12, 1901, the son of Peter and Ella Amanda Strandberg, 1007 South 18th Street. He is survived by his parents, a sister and a brother, all of Centerville.
The body was taken to the Beckner funeral home.

Strandberrg Found Dead This Morning
Marvin Strandberg, 39, son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Strandberg, Long time and well-known residents at 1007 18th St., Was found dead in the dressing room at the standard to soybean males plant at 6:00 a.m. Death was reportedly due to a heart trouble.
The body was found lying on the floor of the dressing room by Taylor Wray, Sunshine Coal , who had gone to the plant early today to do some hauling. When he found Strandberg was dead.
Died after 4:00 a.m.

Death had taken place between 4:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. at the earlier hour the railway switch been had talked with Strandberg and he had seemed all right at that time.At 10:00 p.m. The evening before Harry Schultz, Manager of the plant had talked with him.

Strandberg had been in the employ of the Standard company for the past six years. Last night he was acting as watchmen, although when the mill is in operation is a member of the regular mill shift. Due to the fact that a fellow employee had worked his allotted hours strandberg was called yesterday to take his turn as watchmen.

Had Been Ill
Members of the family said today that he had been complaining during the past two weeks of his heart. He had not felt well when he went to work. At this time his mother is ill with heart trouble and his father also is ill.
He had worked last night loading out some plants produce, and is believed to have been seized with a heart attack after which he went to the dressing room where he was found.

Lived with Parents
Mr. Strandberg was unmarried and lives with his parents. Surviving are a sister and brother, Mrs. Marie Ross of Columbus, Ohio, who is here at this time, having been called to this city by the serious illness of her mother, and Hubert Strandberg, proprietor of the S and S Café. He was well known over the city and has many friends and relatives who mourn his death.
Funeral arrangements are pending and will be announced later.

Marvin Strandbeg Funeral Today
Funeral services were held for Marvin Strandberg, 39, today at the Lutheran Church. The Reverend Sahlgren officiated. Burial was scheduled at Oakland cemetery.
Strandberg died suddenly Friday night at the Standard Soybean Mill.
